The Role

Here at Mars Food, we have an exciting new opportunity for a Shopper Activation (Marketing) Manager to join our team in Sydney.

This critical role covers the creation, management and execution of shopper marketing initiatives that bring our brands to life both in-store and online at key touch-points in the shopper journey which drive shopper engagement, conversion and deliver on brand and category objectives.

Reporting into our Senior Strategic Category Lead this role requires collaboration across the Sales and Marketing functions to help drive engagement of the wider business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You’ll be responsible for Development & execution of shopper led activation plans that are based on consumer, shopper and customer insights, and are tailored to specific customers and channels.
  • Responsible for building and maintaining strong working relationships across key functions in the business including the brand, category and sales account teams.
  • Building business engagement by working cross functionally to engage key teams behind shopper marketing initiatives, bringing the shopper and customer voice into the business, and providing strategic direction through insights and learnings.
  • Develop clear, tailored, customer specific selling stories for priority shopper marketing initiatives.
  • Partner with customer teams to be the expert in customer marketing insights and specific opportunities across all touch-points both in-store and online.

What are we looking for?

  • 2 years + experience in Shopper Marketing (in-store) / Trade / Activations experience.
  • A business degree or relevant qualification
  • Strong understanding of the shopper and an ability to seek insights from data and use to build clear strategies for execution.
  • Good influencing skills with the ability to develop strong cross-functional relationships.
  • Results driven, desire to succeed, action oriented and service focused
  • Sound computer literacy, specifically Microsoft office (word, excel and PowerPoint);
  • Highly organised with an ability to prioritise competing demands;
